What better way to learn about history than to hear it from the ones who lived it. For this reason, the City of Burleson has laid the groundwork for the Burleson Veterans History Project linked to the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project.
In 2003, local military veterans and members of the Burleson Heritage Foundation started compiling an oral history by interviewing veterans and recording those conversations to videotape. You can watch these interviews on the Operation Remember YouTube channel.
