Description
The McMasters: Reeling from the trauma of the Civil War, ex-confederate soldier, Kolby and the townfolk of Ironwood are seething with rage at the goings on at a ranch owned by Newl McMasters. McMasters has given a black Union soldier a half stake in his ranch and allowed him to take up with a young Indian girl who he intends to marry. The times, they are a changin' and the irony is lost on no one that the elderly rancher's new partner was once his slave and someone he treats with paternal affection. When Kolby's rancid efforts to purchase the ranch and drive Peters out of town are stopped cold, the battle lines in this violent, tension-filled western drama are drawn.
