Hiccup is a Viking teenager who aspires to hunt dragons, but doesn't exactly fit in with his tribe's longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. When four pampered animals from New York's Central Park Zoo accidentally find themselves shipwrecked on the exotic island of Madagascar, they discover that it really is a jungle out there. Along the way, the four team up with a quartet of mischievous penguins and legions of lemures, led by the outrageous King Julien.

Now chief and ruler of Berk alongside Astrid, Hiccup has created a gloriously chaotic dragon utopia. The Penguins have a two-fold mission. First, they must assure that a young leopard seal named Hunter makes it back to Antarctica safely without becoming fish food. Second, they must get Private back from the leopard seals without becoming dinner.

A scheming raccoon named RJ tricks a family of forest creatures into helping him repay a debt of food by invading the new suburban sprawl that sprang up while the family was hibernating. Although the family's cautious leader, Verne the turtle, urges wary of potential danger, the rest of the family eagerly dives into the world of junk food.

Watch as Toothless once again helps Hiccup become a hero when they take flight and discover an island full of new dragons.
